LineVision is a new company built on a foundation of over 15 years of research, innovation, field testing and utility validation in the area of non-contact transmission line monitoring.
Promethean Devices pioneered and patented the non-contact monitoring of transmission lines, and validated this technology through close cooperation with utilities including ONCOR, Southern Company and ConEd. Stephen Syracuse led Promethean during these years and continues to be a trusted advisor to and investor in LineVision.
Genscape, a leading global provider of real-time data and intelligence for commodity and energy markets, acquired Promethean Devices in 2015. Under Genscape, the LineVision team refined the technology and completed several successful pilot programs with transmission line owners and regional grid operators. Genscape continues to support LineVision as a shareholder, supplier and strategic partner.
The spinout of LineVision in May of 2018 launched an innovative company dedicated to advancing the state of the art in Transmission Line monitoring and asset management for utilities worldwide.
Hudson has over 10 years experience developing innovative utility data and analytics services and driving revenue growth. He has an MBA from MIT's Sloan School of Business and has led commercial teams at Genscape, EnvaPower and EnerNOC.
Nathan leads the development team and can combine a knowledge of physics, math and wit to solve any problem. He brings a background in Materials Science from U. of Wisconsin and 5 years of energy sensor and analytics development at Genscape.
Jon joined the LineVision team from GE where he successfully grew their transformer monitoring and diagnostics business. He has a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University and 10 years of experience in the electric utility industry.
Elliott manages the end-to-end data pipeline for LineVision, ensuring accurate, reliable data and powerful analytics for our clients. He has a MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University and worked at EnerNOC, Genscape and IBM.
Gerhard has over 20 years of experience engineering, designing, selling and supporting transmission line monitoring systems, and has worked for USi, Nexans and The Valley Group. He is an active organizer and contributor to IEEE and CIGRE working groups on overhead lines and dynamic line ratings.
Derrick knows how to scale big data software platforms, develop cutting edge applications and ensure utility-grade security and stability. He brings over 15 years of experience in application and platform development and has a degree in Computer Science and Math from Western Kentucky University.
David co-founded and scaled EnerNOC into a public company with >1,000 employees and >$400 million in revenue. At EnerNOC, David initiated and oversaw 19 acquisitions, as well as divestitures, joint ventures, and debt/equity capital markets issuances. EnerNOC was acquired by Enel in August 2017. David is a Global Leadership Council member of the World Resources Institute and serves on the boards of Desalitech and Emex, LLC.
Dan is a co-founder and the Managing Director of Clean Energy Ventures (CEV) and has over 25 years of energy industry operational and investment experience. Prior to CEV, he held senior management positions at GreatPoint Energy, New Energy Capital and Arthur D. Little. Dan is a co-founder and director of Environmental Entrepreneurs and vice-chair of the board of the Northeast Clean Energy Council.
Todd Gershkowitz is an executive vice president at State Street, a global financial services company headquartered in Boston, MA. Todd has over 30 years of management and consulting experience and prior to State Street worked at Citigroup, GE Capital, IBM, and UBS. Todd is an avid angel investor and has served on the boards of three other private companies.
Chris is Managing Director of global power services and operations for Genscape – the leading provider of real-time data and intelligence for commodity and energy markets. Prior to Genscape, Chris held senior positions at GE Financial Services, Cambridge Energy Research Associates and Research Data International.
